In the early stages of WSII, Alby and his mate Vik travelled to Prince of Wales Island, the largest of the Torres Strait islands (north of Cape York - the spike on the top of Australia for the geographically-impaired). Alby reports that the island was normally a paradise, but drought had stricken the land. Anyone living in Australia in the early eighties could vouch for that. So the island manager, Ray Arlut, was attempting to catch starving animals to transport them to the mainland.

Now Ray's dog didn't take too well to Sam (Alby's mutt), and this caused a bit of friction... until one afternoon when Ray was attacked by the razorback that you see in this picture. The result is clearly shown in Hog Attack - the Sequel! Anyhow, Sam rushed to his rescue, taking a firm hold on the hog's ear until the fellas could move in. The razorback was saved for breeding.
