Thank you guys for putting together such a comprehensive site about this extraordinary individual!  I saw my first
"Adventure Bound" on the Travel Channel in January and have been hooked ever since.  In fact, I told my brother
who is now on his own world adventure to watch out for Alby during his visit to NZ and OZ.

I have such a love of travel and adventure too and seeing Alby's shows has re-awakened that old bug in me too.  I
just have to convince my wife now that I am not just some crazy old fool but that this is a real lifestyle that I happen
to love.  More on that later if you are interested...

A couple of quick questions at this time.  Where is Judy now and how is she doing?  Any word on this from
anyone?  She really has been my favorite of the "Alby Chicks".  Also, where is Alby now and how close is he to
releasing his next series of films and shows?

Again, thank you for keeping up this great site for all of us who are truly interested in Alby and his incredible life
adventures.

yours,
Howard (Fort Worth, Texas, USA)

Hello,

You guys have an excellent site!  It took me a little while to find anything on Alby and
fortunately I found your place.  My family and I started watching the Adventure Bound
Series on the Travel Channel 3 months ago and now we don't miss an episode.  As a
matter of fact, the wife, children and I are starting to plan our on little adventures.  With
children I doubt we will get into too many dangerous situations but we will have a good time
anyway.

It's good to see so many other people who appreciate the significance of what Alby has
done and inspired.  What he has done has had a marvelous impact on our whole family.  I
think the reasons why are very well put forth in your website.  Anyway, if you do pass
messages on, tell Alby "Thanks", we will see him again tonight.

Best regards,
Trevor, Paula, Hunter and Adeline
Charles City, Iowa, U.S.

P.S.    Might want to mention to Alby to start advertising his World Safari Series on the
Travel Channel.  I honestly did not know they existed until I came to your website today.

Hello There!

Awhile back I did a mention of your ALBY website
in ONE WORLD BULLETIN...
you may recall I scrooooed up the URL!

I would appreciate it if you could pen a column for me
and OWB ... maybe 10 to 20 lines about AM's latest escapades
and the correct URLS...
ALSO the exact URLs for ordering T-SHIRTS and for
Alby's favourite charity (I beleive it was mountain gorillas?)

Hey, thanks a lot... I caught an ALBY TV show last night
and I must say I think the beard makes him look OLD...
better to see him clean-shaven, I think!

Dear fellow Alby Fans,
Just wanted to tell you that I have recently revised my World
Safari with Alby Mangels website, and am ready to share something else with
all of you.  A while back, it struck me to create the first-ever Alby Mangels
Desktop Themes based on each of the World Safari films.  However, I made only
one (WS3) and recieved no feedback.   I, myself, actually didn't care for
it...and I, myself hardly used the Theme.  This time,  things are different.
Recently....I obtained the "grail" so-to-speak.  The extremely rare
publication of the World Safari Book...well...I have a copy of it. (Obtained
by a nice fella named Jake Cooper from Florida) From it, I scanned numberous
pictures, some of which I used to decorate the website.  The others...I used
to create extremely detailed and picturesque wallpapers.  The is one  for
each World Safari, and due to their detail...they are rather large in size.
You can download them from my What's New section of my website.  Trust me
when I say that the download time is well worth it (and totally FREE- of
course).
Also...on the same page...I added a Picture Gallery that has some great
pictures from the book.  ...Some even big enough to print out and frame
(possibly).  Well, I've done my part in informing you, my faithful droogs.
One more thing,...if you have the time, please email me and tell me how you
like the images, wallpapers and any other changes that I've made.  Thank you
very much.  You guys make this all worth while.
Cheers.

Hi guys!!

Just a quick note.  I was talking to alby this afternoon.  H e used our
PowerDive 12 Volt Surface Air Supply Units, in his latest series, and we
will be supplying him with our new model, for the next one.

Please take a moment to have a look at our website at www.powerdive.com
I'm sure you'll like what you see.....Alby sure enjoyed using them.  I hope
to have a link on his macbitz site soon, but would also love to have a
mention on your site.  I will be publishing, in the next few weeks, an
Albys' Adventures" page on our site, and will have "Streaming Video Clips"
from his last documentary, using our great machines.

Anyway, take care.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi Guys,

If I ask really nicely, will you pass this letter on to Alby? Wouldn't
want to be an annoyance... Problem is, I'm finishing up my third year as a
pre-veterinary med student at the Univ. of New Hampshire, USA, and my
too-good-to-be-true summer plans just fell through. So I'm stranded with no
job and one last summer before applying to vet school. I am hoping to get
into large, wild animal medicine, and I am desperately seeking a summer
adbenture that will introduce me to the places and ways these animals live.
I can just imagine that Alby must know somewhere to send me. If there is
ANYTHING you can do to help me out, I'd be forever thankful! I will go most
anywhere the opportunities are from the second week in June. One thing, I
just have to be back from the summer in time for the Labor Day Jimmy Buffett
concert. I've been sailing all my life, and I've been a western horseback
trail-guide, if such credentials will help.
Thanks...

Hi Guys!

I am a frequent visitor to your site.  I really love the Alby Mangels Adventure Bound series shown here in the
U.S.  They have recently started showing (one night a week!!) Alby's new series of videos.  My question is,
Who is Joey? and how did Alby meet her?  Where in the U.S. is she from?  I guess Michelle rode off into
the sunset after she left the farm while Alby was bathing - never to be heard from again???  Guess she
didn't like traveling a lot and Alby's farm a lot less!

I am scouting around for the World Safari book at used book stores but NO lock so far!  Be glad when a
new one is printed.

I love your site - keep up the good work!

in chasing up the whereabouts of this great Australian legend. My only tale
of any worth dates back a few years when two close friends borrowed my dato
120y, donned some sluggos and headed for Murray Bridge. they allegedly
spotted Alby's mum Ms mangedorf? and reckon thay caught as glimpse of the
great man but he bolted when he spied the cameras- dont know- but I can
gladly say that my mantel piece sports a sigbned murray bridge hotel stubbie
cooler reputedly the property belonging to one ALBy m.

keep up the good work

Dear Guys,

Let me just say, as an Australian male from the same generation as you guys,
your website makes me a very proud Australian. Mention the name Alby Mangels
to an Australian male between the age of 23-50 and you will invariably get
the response - ALBY MANGELS IS A F..K'N LEGEND!!!!

Some of my most fondest memories as a child was being taken up by my father
to the local R.S.L with my brothers and wathcing the World Safari films!!

I mean could you possibly think of a better combination for males in the
1980's:

1. Adventure Films
2. Good looking girls
3. Beer

And somehow, Alby managed to combine all three into what can only be
described as the perfect evening out!!

And your dedication page is a fitting memorial of the legacy that is
Mangels.

I own all of Alby's films and I am in the process of trying to culture my
American girlfriend into appreciating Alby - it shouldn't take too long (who
am I kidding!!)

In the past, I have immortalised Alby Mangels in two t-shirts of my own. The
first one says on the front - "Alby Mangels: ordinary man, extraordinary
adventures/women" on the back it has a picture of Alby and a listing of all
his films. The other shirt has a picture of Alby on the front and the quote
he said to Tina Daulton when asked about including women in his films for
meat-value. Anyways, if demand is high, I might be able to run a second
print of the shirts (pending permission from the man himself of course, at
the moment, there is only one each of these shirts in the world). After all,
I don't want to take away sales from the World Safari trading post General
Store. Go out and buy one of Alby's official t-shirts. If you're a real man
you will!!!

Thanks guys and keep up the good work, pretty soon you might be reaching the
same "Dead-Set Legend" status as Alby - we can all dream can't we???

Take care,

Daniel Hopper.

Alby's got a great body. I should know, I live on a U.S.Marine Corps Base here in Hawaii, Alby would fit right in. My

I think Alby comes across as being both intelligent, and funny. Most of all he's the kind of person anyone would be
proud to call a friend. I hope your reading this Alby! You have one of the best shows on T.V. and I tell everyone I

What's up fellas?  The website you've done here is fabulous.  It is true,
many Americans aren't much exposed to Alby but that is just because most
of us watch trash on tv instead of cool shows like Alby and the Croc.
Hunter.  Let me just add that although he is the ballsiest son-of-a-bitch
I have ever seen, the Croc. Hunter is no where near as cool as Alby.  And
all of my friends and I have come to agree that Alby is pretty much the
coolest cat around.  Cruzing from one exotic island to the next, getting
whatever ass he can in the process.  I would love a chance to email him
personally, so I'm asking nicely....may I?  I would be greatful for a
response  from you and as I said, great job on the website!

My name is Chris Wojcik.  I live in Pennsylvania in the US, and I think with
the possible acceptation of 21 Jump Street (my childhood favorite)
Adventure Bound is the best show ever.  In the US we get Alby via The Travel
Channel.  It used to be 2 times daily but the corporate blood sucking pig's
who call themselves "program directors"  busted Alby down to 2 times on
Saturday.  That's only a 7th of  my usual fix!!! I can't take it much more.
Well unless you have vhs tapes of Adventure Bound or World Safari you can
give me, i suppose i'll just finish by repeating the subject of my e-mail...

Thanks for the webpage on Alby. I had tried to find a page on him a couple
of months ago, found some guy named Alby in Australia, signed his guestbook
telling him how great he was, how his show was so good, he sure did have a
way with the ladies.... Was not the Alby I wanted, had to go back to the
guestbook and say 'sorry, wrong guy, I'm sure your cool too, though!'

YES, Alby has reached foreign shores, and I truly doubt he has been in my
backyard!

I am upset that the Travel channel has taken his show off, it seems. I loved
his sense of adventure, and I have to admit, I got into seeing what 'babe'
he would have in the next show!

The episode where he and Vic were climbing on the Gretamarie, late at night,
Alby says "SHH, we'll wake Amanda" when it was some other girl there.
What girl is he with now? Joey, or is that old news now?

I have attempted to type you twice,I am not sure if you you have recieved anything yet
because I did in fact hit the wrong keys due to the dim lights. If you have not recieved the
other messages please pay attention to this one! My name it LeRoy H Beaulieu I am a Native
American Indian (just for info only) I have watched your show as much as I could, Being that
I get home at 5 pm. after a days work. I on a daily basis enjoyed the program every day for
about two hours.

I have seen most of the shows in repeat and have recorded some for me viewing pleasure.
However in the past year the Travel Channel has discontinued your program. This to me has
been very upsetting, I did enjoy it very much, I have a friend that has sailed the seas and
had at one point owned a sailing vessel.

When he tells me of his adventures and shows me the photos of his ship I tell him of the
ones that I have been able to experience while watching wour show. Thank you for the
adventures, please if you have time sent a message to  beaulieu_@msn.com
thank you for your time. North Dakota, all time fan and family.

P.S say a HELLO to K.B for me.

CHOW..         LeRoy H beaulieu
