Piranha Country
Alby's first visit to South America with Judy (WSII) had them taking a freighter to Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. The trip took two months. Alby reports that he was keen to get out of the city, described as difficult, dirty, busy, hot, humid, overcrowded and violent. He liked it a lot. Alby went on to say that he was concerned for Judy's safety because of her good looks - "a prime target for some rich Arab". Wrong country, wrong continent, but let's not quibble.
I know what you're thinking, get to the piranhas! They were relieved to get out of Caracas, and drove for a day through dust and heat and rubbish piled on the side of the road. When they came to a river towards evening they raced to see who could get their gear off first, and jumped in. A local fisherman informed them about this poor decision, and they heeded his advice. He had a basketful, since they make good eating, as well as vice versa.
